The key component of the AMK production modernization program is the control of enterprise’s technogenic influence on the atmosphere.
In comparative analysis of such three indicators as planned growth of production, dynamics of the change of polluting substances emissions and specific emission of polluting substances per ton of steel, one can notice that the polluting substances specific emission per tonne of steel is reduced by 4 times — from 26.8 kg per ton of steel down to 7.0 kg per ton. So, despite the growth of production, the general volume of emissions is reduced twice — from 102 thous. tons down to 53 thous. tons annually.
As a result, the emission into the atmosphere of such substances as ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulphide, benzol, naphthalene and phenol will be stopped completely.
