January
IUD met the requirement for supply of pipes, manufactured by Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant, intended for Ananyev-Izmail gas pipeline. The Customer was the Ukrainian-Russian-Turkish joint venture (GAZTRANZIT). The volume of supply totalled 36 thousand tons.
February
Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant launched the production line for applying inner anti-corrosion coat for entire assortment of product. The amount of investments made by the Corporation amounted to more than Euro 1 mln.
March
Under the contract concluded with PETROBRAS company (Brazil) the Corporation supplied the pipes of Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant with the outer and inner anti-corrosion coat.
April
IUD Corporation started the implementation of the international project relating to the construction of Shurtan-Sherebad pipeline (240 km length, turnkey) in Uzbekistan.
May
The Corporation announced its intention to take part in privatization of the State Black Sea Shipbuilding Yard.
June
IUD Corporation invited international tenders for supply of two continuous casting machines (each having the capacity of 2,5 mln. tons per year) to be installed at Alchevsk Metallurgical Works.
July
The investment made by the Corporation enabled to install ultrasonic inspection facilities for on-line inspection of plates at Alchevsk Metallurgical Works.
Industrial Union of Donbass acquired at the stock exchange 25% share of OJSC Alchevsk By-Product Coke Plant
August
IUD Corporation completed the procedure of Huty Stali Czestochowa company research (due diligence) and tendered the final offer to the Polish government.
IUD Corporation announced its intention to take part in open tender for realization of 98,8% share of OJSC Dneprovsky Metallurgical Works (Dneprodzerzhynsk).
September
The construction of Shurtan-Sherebad pipeline (191 km length) is commissioned before the appointed time. Traffic capacity of the new gas-main is one and a half billion cubic meters of gas per year. It's enough for needs of the South region of Uzbekistan (which because of the Turkmenian position lacked natural gas).
September
Corporation IUD and the company "Duferco S.A." having strategic partner relations declared the intention to join their own businesses on metal products sale in the whole world.
