The activity of the corporation in this sphere consists in studying markets of ferrous metals in CIS and foreign countries, selling products of metallurgical works and tube works, developing intra industry co-operative contacts, modernization of equipment and technical re-equipment of metallurgical works and also the enterprises of the fourth and the fifth repartitions, providing the iron & steel works with the main kinds of raw materials, power resources and additional materials.

Today, steel mills of Donetsk region which cooperate with the corporation produce more than 6.0 million tons of pig-iron, more than 7.8 tons of steel rolled products per year. More than 4.8 million tons of steel rolled products are produced for export (European Economic Community, USA, Canada, countries of South-East Asia, countries of the CIS).

Corporation ‘Industrial Union of Donbass’ is the shareholder of two major tube enterprises of Ukraine: JSC ‘Khartsyzsk Tube Works’ and JS Co. ‘Dnepropetrovsk Tube Works’. These enterprises produce more than 30% of all tube production in Ukraine.

For the period of 1996-2002 JSC ‘Khartsyzsk Tube Works’ has, due to the orders of Industrial Union of Donbass, manufactured more than 1 million tons of pipes of various diameter for gas mains.

For the years of cooperation of steel mills with the corporation the quantity of the foreign partners purchasing steel rolled products in Donetsk region has considerably increased. Today they amount to more than 70 enterprises.
