Coal-mining industry
The purpose of Industrial Union of Donbass in mining sector is integration of organizational, industrial and economic potential of the corporation and coal mining enterprises for increasing volumes of coking coal production, solving socio-economic problems of partners, and also reviving one of the priority industries of Donbass.
The activities of Industrial Union of Donbass in coal-mining industry:
- Working up and implementation of the potential complex programs of development and investment of coal-mining enterprises.
The program provides for measures directed on development of mining. Within the framework of these measures the corporation gives mines the commodity credits by way of the equipment for breakage and development of coalfaces. It permits to forecast the volumes of production of coal concentrates and to plan high-caking charge of needed quality for production of coke.
- Analysis of overall performance of coal-mining enterprises (partners of the corporation), introduction of new advanced technologies and modern mining equipment.
The program provides for checking the quality of the best mining equipment produced in Ukraine and abroad in real conditions of the operating coal mines.
- Development of coal-mining engineering, getting marginal effect from introduction of the equipment of new technological level to coal mines.
The strategic problem of this program is integration of present potential of the specialized enterprises which produce mining equipment and component parts for providing coal-mining industry with modern equipment.
- Bringing up supplies of coal production (concentrates and power-generating coal), products of coking to consumers;
- Checking the quality of supplied to consumers coal, concentrates and coke.
Within the framework of Donbass coal-mining industry investing program, the corporation provides the coal-mining enterprises of Donetsk region with mining equipment.
As a result, in 2002 Industrial Union of Donbass delivered more than 5.5 million tons of coal concentrates to coke & chemical plants and more than 4.2 million tons of coke to iron & steel works.
