Agrarian industry
Corporation ‘Industrial Union of Donbass’ tends to develop agrarian sector of Donetsk region, it gives credits to new developing farms, supplies markets with agricultural products.
The branch enterprise ‘Olga’ uses new technologies of cultivation of sown areas, growing fodder and cereal crops, poultry and cattle breeding.
The agro firm ‘Zarya’ (Volodarsky region) has 12 777 hectares of plough-land. Being the leader in crop production in the region, the agro firm ‘Zarya’ produces more than 17 thousand tons of crops, 3.5 thousand tons of sunflowers, 2.9 thousand tons of milk.
Thanks to the corporation, Dianovskaya poultry farm (Volnovakha area) was restored and modernized in 2000, up to this time the poultry farm had not been working during 4 years. Currently, the farm works successfully using Dutch technologies of broiler farming. Its output of meat is 4.7 thousand tons per years (live weight). The corporation invested in this project more than 2 million dollars (US).
Today, started on the basis of the bankrupt enterprise, Novolugansk pig-breeding farm (Artemovsk area) works and develops successfully. With the purpose of restoring and optimizing production activity of the farm Bakhmutskiy Agrarian Union Close Corporation (BAS) was established. One of its founders is Industrial Union of Donbass.
By now livestock of pigs has run from zero up to 35 thousand, monthly gaining 1.5 thousand, and the high level of management has allowed receiving the status of bloodstock farm. Currently, the aim of investor is finding of the new markets and also to increase qualitative indicators of production. Since December 1998 CJS Co. ‘BAS’ started to sale marketable pork to the enterprises within the region. Today CJS Co. ‘BAS’ sells 400-500 tons of meat (live weight) per month to the regional meat-processing plants.
‘BAS’ CJS Co. has prospects to purchase principal pig-breeding farm for the purpose of expansion of production and sales network, of operating own meat-processing plants.
